Blown Fibre

When compared with traditional fibre and copper installations, blown fibre, with its low total life costs, is seen by many as the lowest cost model.

The fibres are deployed from one point of a network to another (internal or external) using compressed air to blow optical fibre into pre-installed tubes. The tubes have spare capacity that enables additional fibre to be blown-in without disruption to the existing network. Unlike other blown fibre solutions, TrueNet® blown fibre can also be recovered and re-used.

Using the TrueNet® Blown Fibre system has the following benefits:

  • Simplified planning
  • Cost effective installation and expansion
  • Increased flexibility
  • Rapid customer connections

The TrueNet® Blown Fibre Solutions includes:

Given the uncertainty of trends in technology, demand, people movement and financial confidence, blown fibre provides a comprehensive, flexible and low "total life"cost solution.
